Stay
Welcome to Penybanc Farm, forty organic acres in the heart of rural West Wales. When we first stumbled across this unspoilt corner, we fell in love first with Ceridwen, (a large house built with local, indigenous stone and slate on the site of a former smithy and stables), and then with this landscape.
We’re spoilt for views and spoilt for sunsets here, but the best feeling is turning into the lane at the top after a trip away and seeing the fields spread out in front of us. There’s something magical about Ceridwen, named over twenty years ago after a character in Celtic mythology, but there’s something pretty special about the farm too.
Leave your heels and city suits behind; bring torches; look up at the stars; start to unwind and accept our different pace of life. Some visitors come to relax, chat, walk, eat, drink and take it easy, others use the farm as a comfortable base from which to explore – we’re only twelve miles from the Cardigan Bay coastline but there are plenty of inland treasures in the Teifi Valley too.
There’s a choice of accommodation for guests:-
- Ceridwen, (sleeping up to 25),
- The Byre, (our gorgeous new calving shed conversion sleeping up to 7),
- The Gypsy Wagon, (a beautifully restored romantic hideaway for two),
- The Yurt, (the latest addition to the family – sleeps a couple, with space for 1 or 2 small children)
- The B&B farmhouse with three rooms available in Penybanc Farmhouse.
- Eco Camping spaces are also available.
Accommodation may be booked singly or in combination for larger groups, retreats, reunions and celebrations, (including weddings & civil partnership ceremonies). Bookings can be on a self-catering, catered or part-catered basis. Our much-complimented vegetarian catering includes includes home-made bread, cakes, preserves and our own honey. Self-catering holiday guests can buy fresh veg, preserves, desserts and cakes or order pre-prepared meals to pop in the oven.
In the school holidays, in Ceridwen and The Byre, bookings are usually for whole weeks only starting on Fridays but ask for last-minute availability for shorter periods. Outside the school holidays, any length break is possible.
In combination with our meeting & function space, the Old Dairy, and Treatment Room, we welcome and host a variety of groups from holistic retreats and the arts to outdoor activity breaks and personal development courses.
This is a family-run business. We live here. Whatever your length or type of booking, you will receive friendly support in preparation for and during your stay.
